Mole Yucatan Starring: All-Inclusive Resort Serves as Backdrop for Second Season of Top-Rated ABC Reality Show -- Celebrity-Style Stays Start at Just $149/Night Celebrity Mole Suite to Debut in 2004 Laden with Show Memorabilia Miami, FL – 01.06.04 – As if the five-star, all-inclusive Grand Xcaret by Occidental did not have a fabulous enough home in the Riviera Maya, it now finds its second home on prime-time… television that is. On Wednesday, January 7, 2004, Celebrity Mole Yucatan, which filmed six out of seven episodes at the resort, premieres on ABC at 10:00 p.m. EST/PST. In the upcoming Celebrity Mole Yucatan series, Grand Xcaret by Occidental is the setting for eight celebrities competing to figure out who among them is the Mole, and to win a cash prize of $250,000. The celebrities who made Grand Xcaret by Occidental their home during the four weeks of filming are basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman, MTV alum Ananda Lewis, Growing Pains gal Tracey Gold, model Angie Everhart, Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper’s Mark Curry, The Cosby Show kid Keisha Knight Pulliam, TV actor Corbin Bernsen of L.A. Law and Usual Suspects star and Baldwin brother Stephen. Returning as host is Emmy award-winning sportscaster Ahmad Rashad. A Celebrity Mole Suite, complete with show paraphernalia, will be unveiled at the resort in 2004. In the meantime, stays at this sprawling, eco-friendly, offering all meals, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, non-motorized water sports and more. Additionally, all stays at Grand Xcaret, by Occidental boast a one-day pass to the colorful, Mayan-themed, eco-archeological Xcaret Park which is adjacent to the resort and served as the backdrop for many an adventure for the reality series. This second season of Celebrity Mole, following in the footsteps of Celebrity Mole Hawaii, is sure to be one of ABC’s top-rated shows as season one earned the network’s number-two spot coming in second only to the ever-popular Bachelor.
