| IN THE WORDS OF OUR COSTUMERS |
| Dear Andres (Grand Xcaret's General Manager): I just wanted to write a letter to show my gratitude and appreciation for you, your staff's, and your entire resort's hospitality, caring, and treatment of me while I was at the Grand Xcaret by Occidental for my week's stay. When I met you and you took me to the Royal Club to upgrade my accommodations, I can't tell you how pampered, relaxed, safe, and cared for I felt from the staff at the entrance, to the waiters (reminded me of when I went to Spain because of the tradition and excellence of care) to even the sweet girls cleaning the room and leaving beautiful arrangements of flowers daily. I like to paint with oils and I couldn't "drink in" more beautiful scenery with the peach, hot pink, and bright red flowering shrubs, the exotic ocean wall sea view, black marble bath with garden tub and window overlooking flowers of fragrance and color and ocean breezes and bright blue skies as well. What a way to refresh and renew oneself in your beautiful country and at what must be the best of all resorts - The Grand Xcaret. Your numerous guests and many duties didn't keep you from noticing one person who needed your help and didn't even have to ask to have that recognized. What a fantastic general manager and host you are. I did see you, your wife, and your dinner party one night when I was dining at the best of all restaurants - The Royal Club Restaurant. I was sorry I didn't get to tell you goodbye but hope sometime I can visit again. Please pass on my good wishes to all of your staff and especially those at the Royal Club. I did get a chance to go to Xcaret Park and go snorkeling in the underground caves, see some flora, fauna, and some exotic animals. When I went to the ocean wall after snorkeling and saw ocean spray hitting the rocks, I even decided to relax a while in a hammock. Other people seemed to fall into the hammocks naturally and relax into a restful nap. I think there must be some trick to that. Next time I will ask for directions on how to stay in the hammock without turning over. I didn't quite get that part down. I can't wait to come again but returned to snow and ice and didn't even seem to care because of all the warmth, sun, and relaxation I had absorbed in Mexico for my vacation week. Thank you so much again, Andres, for you and the way you run your resort making such a difference! I am enclosing a photo to jog memory. I was in Jamaica when this photo was taken, but plan to make my next trip Mexico's Occidental again if possible. Everyone (including other guests at your resort) made me feel truly special. Truly, Patty PS If you and your wife happen to want to come to North Carolina, (Raleigh) USA, please let me know because I would love for you to think about staying in my home. Patty Raleigh, NC I am pleased to comment on your resort. First, I would like to comment on the fantastic customer service. In our experience with your resort, we have witnessed exceptional customer service. From the planning phase through the checkout phase of our vacation there, the staff was always hospitable, friendly, and determined to provide customer satisfaction. Your "all-inclusive" attraction is not to be understated. It is very relaxing to be able to drink, dine, and participate in activities at your leisure without having to produce a wallet. Furthermore, what makes your resort special is the fact that there are so many good all-inclusive options for each amenity at the resort. There is never just one choice. We love the many choices of room locations, restaurants (poolside buffets to casual or fine dining themes), cocktail bars, different pools or a beach (kid-friendly), daytime and evening entertainment, kids activities, adult activities, ...you name it there is always a choice for everyone. The Xcaret park "next door" is even another enjoyable attraction within walking distance or by water gondola. In addition, my wife and I have been attracted to the idea of coming back to the resort for a stay without the kids sometime. With such lodging choices and variety of amenities it would be easy to take advantage of all of the resorts benefits while remaining comfortably separated from youth activities. In closing, the Grand Xcaret resort has repeatedly achieved my family's vacation desire. There is always something for everyone in this safe and sparkling clean resort. We always leave relaxed, rested, and without feeling as if we need a vacation after the vacation. We look forward to planning our next "get-away" to your resort. Another
satisfied customer,
We enjoyed our stay with you. We have already recommended you to many of our friends, family and co-workers. I felt very secure at the resorts, and the security people we polite and friendly. I definitely would stay with you again. I want to commend Moises. He was one of the first people we met on our stay at your hotel. He was warm and friendly. The two girls at guest services: Ana and Lourdes are absolutely wonderful and knowledgable. Lourdes also babysat our son the night we went to the disco. She is very sweet and polite. And lastly Marta. She was a joy to greet every morning with a hello. And towards our last day she made a towel elephant for our son which was such a warm and nice touch. We stayed with your from 8/12-8/20/2003 in room 21204. We hope to see you again soon.

We have recently returned from your wonderful resort. It was better
than we had hoped for. Your facility offered us exactly what we were
looking for as far as tropical location, wonderful food and drinks, and
a great staff.Your property was like an oasis for us with our year round
chaotic life.
Greetings from New York! It’s been 48 hours since I arrived in NY. I must say, I had a wonderful time at the Grand Xcaret. The hotel is great. The good is fascinating. The decorations and colors of nature are almost a dream. Your service is superb, but nothing would be so great without the great staff you guys have. Your kindness and friendliness is what differentiates you as a property. The smiles you guys gave me are going to stay in my heart forever. The entertainment was spectacular. I send my love to all the staff, especially to the guys at the pool bar. I send my love to Jesus Cardoso, for the great entertainment and for being a great host. My love to the management and to the people that make the difference “the cooks, waitresses and the hot dancers and the Cuba con su trompeta! May God bless you all and Viva Mexico! Mua
At the end of January 2003, my husband and I were fortunate to spend a week in your hotel. I cannot tell you how impressed we were - it by far exceeded any holiday we have ever been on. We loved the Mayan Riviera, and had no idea that there would be so much history there. Also your staff were just excellent. One person in particular stood out - Mauricio Pulidio. We found him to be very knowledgeable of the area, very polite and very helpful. Your hotel obviously has an excellent training program. We also enjoyed the nightly entertainment that was provided. In the Spring of 2004, our local school is possibly planning a trip for approximately 15 - 20 students ages 15 - 18. It is to be part educational and part holiday (supposed to be mostly educational). I have been checking out some of the educational tours available, and have found them to be extremely expensive and with very little time for "fun" for the kids. I wondered if your hotel ever planned a tour of this sort? I know that you have sister hotels in Cozumel and Cancun, and was interested in possibly setting up a tour that would take in the Xcaret Park (we found this park utterly amazing), maybe some snorkelling somewhere, the ruins of Chichen Itza (absolutely breathtaking), and any other ideas and attractions that you would know more of. Would it be possible to arrange for an english-speaking tour guide as well? Our group would be flying out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada probably around April 9, 2004, which would be Easter holidays. Would you have any idea of prices? Is this anything you would be interested in? I look forward to hearing from you with your ideas. If your hotel does not offer a program such as this, do you know of any hotel that does? Sincerely,
My husband and I just came back from a week at your hotel. We have our own Income Tax Business and try to get away for relaxation after a very hectic time. We booked with you just 5 days prior to arriving and will never forget what a gorgeous paradise awaited us. We've stayed in Mexico before but did not have a good experience with the language barrier; however, at your hotel, this barrier did not exist. The property was constantly being attended to and always clean. The food and restaurants were wonderful. Our maid was superb. The shows at night were very professional. We have cruised 8 times in the past, and felt truly as if your property was "a cruise ship on land". Thank you very much for a breath taking experience. Edward & Helen
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and all of the staff at the Grand Xcaret for a wonderful vacation. Dave and I truly had the vacation of a life time. Not knowing anyone who had been a guest at your resort, we were hoping that we had made the right choice in choosing your resort. And our hunch was right ... the Xcaret IS a fabulous resort. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left, we were treated wonderfully. The hotel was sparkling clean, the room was large enough and well appointed, and the restaurants were great. Having traveled to other resorts, I was prematurely concerned about what the quality of the restaurants and food might be like. We were never disappointed once. In fact on our second visit to La Hacienda, our waiter made us Mayan coffee - and it was quite a show! At El Pescador we couldn't have asked for a more breathtaking view. The waiters were attentive and friendly in all restaurants we visited. The lunch buffet at the Beach Club was also marvelous, as was breakfast at Le Buffet. I have to put in a good word about the handcraft area that gave you the opportunity to paint Mexican style pieces. The man who ran the area (I wish I hadn't forgotten his name) was terrific. Not being an artist myself, he was able to take what I completed, add finishing touches, and make it look like a work of art! It was a nice escape from the hot sun with the added bonus of making something yourself. A great addition to the resort. Your proximity to Xcaret Park is another bonus. The ecopark is a nice alternative to the zoos we see here in the states, and I look forward to visiting there again. I believe you offer enough entertainment and activities throughout
the day without pressure to participate. This makes everyone feel comfortable
-- and that's just what vacation is all about. I want to thank you again for treating us to such an unforgettable experience. The Grand Xcaret will be on the top of my list of places I want to visit again. Gracias! Gracias! Gracias! Debbie/Dave
Just returned from our stay at your hotel, and I wanted to let you know how much we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. You have a beautiful resort, with unbelievably friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and wonderfully serviced restaurants, and your proximity to Xcaret was truly a benefit. I also would like to thank you for providing me with the contact information for via Delphi. I had an incredible time Swimming with the Dolphins. It was a dream come true! Once again, thank you and congratulations on a superb resort! Sincerely,
Dixie and Gary
My friend and I greatly enjoyed our time at the resort and part of it was due to the fun club staff and those involved in the evening presentations. Thanks for contributing to a great vacation. Tanis
